Napa man arrested, discovered with supplies used to make explosives: sheriff

(KRON) — A Napa man was arrested on Friday after deputies discovered supplies that can be utilized to make explosives, the Napa County Sheriff’s Workplace stated. The suspect had beforehand been convicted of possessing pipe bombs.

NCSO’s SWAT workforce served a search warrant on the house of 31-year-old Justin Fisher on the 300 block of Coombs Avenue at about 7 a.m.

Fisher was being investigated after he purchased chemical substances recognized for use for making bombs, NCSO stated. His 2019 conviction was for having supplies used to make bombs.

The search on Friday found substances used to make explosives.

“Detectives believe Fisher possessed these items with the intention of making more destructive devices,” NCSO stated.

In 2019, Fisher was driving on State Route 29 in American Canyon when NCSO’s bomb squad discovered two pipe bombs, explosives and medicines in his automobile.
