(KRON) — Fireplace officers are sounding the alarm over areas throughout the East Bay thought of a excessive hazard for fireplace hazard. In line with new maps from the Cal Fireplace State Fireplace Marshal, “fire zones” have grown due to droughts and harmful wildfire seasons.
Components of cities like Richmond, Antioch, Harmony, and Danville are included due to the tons of of acres of vegetation in unoccupied areas. Gov. Gavin Newsom ordered the state to replace the severity maps following the Los Angeles wildfires.

That is the primary replace since 2011. Officers are urging folks to test which zone they stay in — in case of emergency evacuations.
