(KRON) — An 8-month-old child from Oakland was killed in a crash in Tennessee on Friday, in line with a GoFundMe posted by the sufferer’s household.

Nai’lani Shunee D’cole Carnegie was born on June 4, 2024 and died on Feb. 21, 2025. Her household was touring to Arkansas for a funeral when she was killed.

The crash occurred on Interstate 40 in Memphis, Tenn. Nai’lani was taken to a hospital in important situation and later died from her accidents.

The crash concerned a number of autos, considered one of which landed on its facet. 4 others have been hospitalized.

Memphis police mentioned a automobile stopped on the freeway and was rear-ended, which precipitated the crash.

“As we navigate this painful loss, we are faced with the overwhelming task of bringing Nai’lani home to California to be laid to rest among her loved ones,” the GoFundMe mentioned. It’s requesting $15,000 in donations.
