(KRON) — A girl was held captive, tortured, and raped by an Oakland man for 2 years, prosecutors stated. Her kidnapper, 57-year-old Ian Edard Kroe, was discovered responsible of 33 felony counts this week following a jury trial in San Mateo County Superior Courtroom.
Kroe was arrested in 2022 by cops who discovered the 74-year-old girl imprisoned, bare, and injured inside a Belmont Hyatt resort room. She was unable to maneuver on her personal, prosecutors stated.
The lady had been held captive between the summers of 2020 and 2022. Kroe knew his sufferer as a result of she was shut mates together with his mom. In 2016, Kroe’s mom died and the sufferer reached out to specific sympathy, prosecutors stated.
