Prepare for a Wet Week: What to Expect from the Bay Area’s Rainy Forecast!

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – It’s a comparatively calm Monday morning with just some sprinkles right here and there earlier than rain picks up once more this afternoon. Rain depth will enhance, particularly after sundown tonight, main into our stormiest day of the forecast tomorrow.

Daytime highs on Monday will peak within the 50s, making it a cool and cloudy day even earlier than rainfall arrives. We’ll proceed to see an lively forecast by Friday earlier than sunshine and dry skies prevail into the weekend.

Between Monday evening and Friday, 3 to six inches of rain is feasible for the North Bay, in keeping with the Nationwide Climate Service. The better Bay Space area is forecasted to obtain 2 to 4 inches of rainfall. Greater elevations may see 6 to eight inches.

“Our biggest concerns are flooding of creeks and streams,” climate officers stated, “and an increased risk for downed trees due to the combination of wind and moist soils.”

A flood watch is in impact for the Bay Space from Monday at 4 p.m. by Wednesday at 4 a.m., in keeping with NWS.
