(KRON) — A police capturing Tuesday evening in Richmond resulted within the demise of an individual who was wished on a probation violation warrant in connection to home violence costs, in line with the Richmond Police Division.

Police responded at 8:13 p.m. to the 2700 block of Most important Avenue in an try to seek out the wished suspect. Officers positioned the suspect simply west of the 300 block of Carlson Boulevard on the Union Pacific Railroad proper of means, authorities stated.

A standoff ensued after the suspect “refused to cooperate with officers,” Richmond PD stated. The standoff continued for roughly 32 minutes when, at 8:53 p.m., police shot the suspect. The suspect was fatally wounded within the police capturing.

SFPD officers injured in unprovoked assault

Particulars on what instantly led to police capturing on the suspect weren’t instantly out there. The identification of the suspect has not been launched.

Contra Costa County District Lawyer’s Workplace investigators responded to the scene of the capturing, and the Contra Costa Legislation Enforcement Concerned Deadly Protocol was invoked, police stated. The protocol is a “set of guidelines and procedures” for circumstances of deadly police shootings.
