San Jose immigrant neighborhood rallies towards Trump insurance policies

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) — President Trump’s inauguration speech sparked a number of anger within the immigrant neighborhood. They flocked to San Jose to face up and make their voices heard. 

Beginning exterior Valley Truthful Mall after which marching down Santana Row, they have been met with a number of assist. Many protestors say they’re talking up towards what they’re calling discriminatory threats by the president as he begins his second time period.

They continued their chants as they marched down Santana Row to get the eye of drivers and customers. With indicators, honks and their voices, these teams are protesting Trump’s vow to finish birthright citizenship and asylums.

Many say they’re comforted by the truth that we reside in California and have a governor who’s preventing for the immigrant neighborhood. Nevertheless, given the president’s speech a few slew of govt orders to return, these protestors say now could be the time to talk up –especially as many have undocumented members of the family.

“I still come from undocumented parents come from undocumented, so I’ve always felt really close to the struggle and I feel like with the incoming administration. It’s really a time of now or never,” stated Foothill School pupil Marvin Hernandez.

“My fear for workers is that their work, their hard work is not protected and honored and for the foundation of this country,” stated Papers For All protestor Hilda Fernandez.

“It reminds us of the Mexican repatriation act regardless of, a lot of citizens, regardless of immigration status were deported as well it’s discriminatory and you know how do you tell who has papers who doesn’t it’s gonna be profiling come from,” stated Uriel Magdaleno of the Silicon Valley Immigration Committee.

Going ahead, these teams are calling on any grassroots and progressive organizations to affix within the struggle over the following 4 years
