Santa Rosa Drug Dealer Linked to Tragic Deaths of Two Teenagers Released Without Charges

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KRON) — A suspected drug seller who was arrested in connection to the overdose loss of life of two Santa Rosa teenagers over the weekend has been launched. Presently, no expenses have been filed towards Ramon Nunez, 21, who was arrested round 12:45 p.m. Sunday whereas in his car parked in a car parking zone on the 1900 block of Santa Rosa Avenue.

Nunez was arrested in connection to 4 Santa Rosa youngsters who overdosed on suspected fentanyl final weekend. Two of the teenagers died and investigators are attempting to find out if the overdoses are associated.

A 16-year-old Santa Rosa Excessive Faculty lady and an 18-year-old male Montgomery Excessive Faculty pupil had been discovered unresponsive in a mattress at a house within the 2100 block of Brookwood Drive on Saturday, police mentioned. Officers responded and the pair had been declared deceased quickly after.

Earlier on Saturday, two women, aged 14 and 16, had been hospitalized as a result of a suspected fentanyl overdose in Santa Rosa, police mentioned. Investigators consider the 4 overdose victims purchased what they thought was cocaine, however “was most likely fentanyl,” police mentioned.

Investigators consider Nunez offered the narcotics that precipitated the loss of life of the youngsters and are investigating Nunez’s attainable connection to different overdoses in Santa Rosa, the division mentioned.

Nunez was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of two counts of second-degree murder and furnishing narcotics to a minor and a minor 4 or extra years youthful. He’s being held with out bail.

Prosecutors on Tuesday requested for 60 days continuance to allow them to proceed the investigation and carry out autopsies on the 2 college students that died.
