Santa Rosa DUI Checkpoint: 9 Arrested and 16 Cited in Major Crackdown

(KRON) – The Santa Rosa Police Division arrested 9 individuals at a DUI checkpoint, the division introduced.

The checkpoint was held from 8 p.m. till midnight on Friday at Morgan Road and Fifth Road.

Santa Rosa law enforcement officials contacted 698 automobiles within the operation. In accordance with SRPD, 11 drivers have been evaluated for DUI and two have been arrested for driving beneath the affect.

Earthquake struck close to Castro Valley Sunday morning

In accordance with Santa Rosa PD, 9 drivers have been cited for working a car unlicensed and 7 drivers have been cited for working a car with a suspended/revoked license.

There have been a number of arrests on the DUI checkpoint, together with:

1 driver was arrested for possession of a managed substance

2 drivers have been arrested for excellent warrants.

2 drivers have been arrested for probation violations

2 drivers have been arrested for failing to have a court-ordered ignition interlock gadget of their car

The division stated officers conduct DUI checkpoints to “promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.”
