Santa Rosa restaurant supervisor arrested for recording patrons in girls's restroom

(KRON) — A Santa Rosa restaurant supervisor has been arrested for allegedly recording patrons within the girls’s restroom secretly. In keeping with the Santa Rosa Police Division, officers have been dispatched on Monday to the Ohana Hawaiian BBQ at 2150 Santa Rosa Avenue to analyze a report of a cellphone hidden within the girls’s restroom.

A lady, who police stated made a behavior of checking vents in public restrooms for hidden recording units, examined the air vent within the single-user restroom. She noticed what seemed to be a cellphone hidden within the vent with the digicam dealing with the restroom’s inside.

The girl contacted Santa Rosa PD, notified the restaurant supervisor after which guarded the lavatory till police arrived. Arriving on the restaurant, officers eliminated the vent cowl and recovered the telephone, which had been recording for round 46 minutes.

Officers decided that the telephone belonged to the restaurant supervisor, 37-year-old Daniel Nam of Santa Rosa. Detectives with the Santa Rosa PD Home Violence Sexual Assault Staff (DVSA) responded and took over the investigation.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Nam used a hid recording gadget to invade the privateness of at the least one sufferer. Detectives seized his cellphone and laptop computer and shall be reviewing the contents of the units to find out how lengthy he had been recording individuals in secret and to determine extra victims.
