SF man arrested after committing grand theft at Goal: police

(KRON) – A San Francisco resident was arrested for grand theft at a Novato Goal on Friday, mentioned the Novato Police Division.

The theft occurred at round 8:19 p.m. on Friday. Novato police had been notified {that a} man who staff say is a “known thief” was stealing objects. 

Novato PD mentioned officers responded rapidly to the scene and detained the suspect.

The suspect was recognized as 27-year-old San Francisco resident Jared Benson. Police later discovered that Benson was a suspect in 4 different lively housebreaking investigations on the similar Goal retailer. 

Officers additionally found Benson had stolen over $2,000 price of merchandise within the Friday theft. 

Moreover, Benson had an excellent $10,000 felony warrant for his arrest from the Morgan Hill Police Division for grand theft. 

Benson was arrested and booked into the Marin County Jail for 5 separate counts of housebreaking, together with the excellent warrant.
