SFPD officers injured in unprovoked assault

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Two San Francisco Police Division officers had been hospitalized with non-life-threatening accidents after an unprovoked assault on Tuesday, SFPD mentioned.

The assault occurred at about 3:56 p.m. The suspect opened an SFPD automotive’s driver’s facet door and assaulted each officers close to O’Farrell and Polk streets, police mentioned.

A number of items responded to the scene, and officers detained the suspect.

“An unprovoked attack like this on our officers is unacceptable, and the SFPD will do everything within our power to hold this perpetrator accountable,” mentioned SFPD chief Invoice Scott.

SFPD didn’t launch the suspect’s title. Fees are pending.
