(KRON) — A highschool instructor and sports activities coach in Santa Clara County was arrested Wednesday after he was accused of getting a sexual relationship with a scholar, in accordance with the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Division.
Darrin Garcia, 53, of San Jose, allegedly had an illegal sexual relationship between 2021 and 2023 whereas he was a instructor and coach at Santa Clara Excessive Faculty. On the time, Garcia was residing in Los Gatos, authorities stated.

In accordance with police, Garcia “has been a well-known sports coach and athletic director in Santa Clara County.” He has been employed at a number of faculties.
On Wednesday, Garcia was taken into custody at his present place of employment, Kathleen MacDonald Excessive Faculty in San Jose.
