(KRON) — The Oakland Police Division discovered a stolen forklift on Tuesday whereas investigating a smoke store in West Oakland, OPD mentioned. Police additionally discovered that the smoke store was working with out correct licenses for tobacco and hashish gross sales.

OPD’s Alcohol Beverage Motion Crew (ABAT) and the California Division of Tax and Charges (CDTFA) investigated the smoke store on Dec. 27. It’s situated on the 2400 block of San Pablo Avenue.

Investigators realized that the shop was lacking licenses from each the Metropolis of Oakland and California. They seized banned flavored tobacco merchandise, hashish merchandise and psilocybin mushrooms.

Officers got here again to the store on Jan. 7 to serve a search warrant on the retailer and hooked up warehouse. They discovered the stolen forklift and extra prohibited tobacco merchandise and psilocybin, police mentioned.

The forklift was stolen in a 2022 Oakland housebreaking. It was returned to its rightful proprietor.

The enterprise was served a Nuisance Abatement Discover in December, which police discovered it violated in January.

No arrests have been made. The Alameda County District Legal professional’s Workplace is investigating for civil expenses and doable eviction.
