(KRON) — A Bay Space congressman took to X, previously Twitter, to slam Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s response to a gathering between President Donald Trump and Ukraine’s chief that descended into chaos. Following the assembly, during which Trump instructed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy he was “gambling with World War III,” and accused him of being disrespectful, Rubio tweeted his help for Trump.

“Thank you @POTUS for standing up for America in a way that no President has ever had the courage to do before,” Rubio tweeted. “Thank you for putting America First. America is with you!”
Whether or not or not America was with President Trump on it is a matter for debate, however one one who certainly wasn’t with Rubio, was Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Dublin).

“Bro, did you write this?” Swalwell tweeted in response. “You tried to shrink in your chair. You looked at Trump like he was some crazy ass pops who was embarrassing you on your first date. Don’t bulls*** us. Grow a pair.”
In the course of the contentious assembly between Trump, Zelenskyy and Vice President JD Vance, social media customers famous that Rubio appeared uncomfortable whereas seated subsequent to Vance.

Swalwell, for his half, praised Zelenskyy following the contentious assembly.
“Absolute admiration for President Zelenskyy,” Swalwell tweeted. “The guy has b****s. He went into the Oval Office and stood up to Russia’s best negotiators.”
