Teen women steal $7.5K in cosmetics from North Bay mall, flee in Uber: police

(KRON) — 4 teenage women, one as younger as 13 years outdated, have been arrested final week after allegedly stealing hundreds of {dollars} in merchandise from a Marin County purchasing heart and fleeing in an Uber, based on the Central Marin Police Authority.

Police responded to City Middle Corte Madera on Dec. 20 at 6:30 p.m. on the report of an in-progress retail theft. A retailer worker advised officers that 4 individuals have been filling giant luggage with perfume and beauty merchandise, clearing out cabinets of merchandise within the course of.

The suspects, later decided to be three 15-year-old women and one 13-year-old lady, all from Oakland, fled from the purchasing heart in an Uber that they’d ordered, authorities stated. The Uber getaway car was noticed by officers driving north on Freeway 101 and pulled over.

Stolen merchandise totaling roughly $7,500 was recovered and the 4 teen women have been arrested, police stated. The suspects have been booked into Marin County Juvenile Corridor for organized retail theft and their mother and father or guardians have been known as.
