Three Arrested During Protest at Travis Air Force Base

(BCN) — Fairfield police stated they acquired experiences that protesters allegedly threw rocks at automobiles exterior Travis Air Drive Base on Thursday afternoon, however protest organizers are disputing the accusation.

Three individuals have been arrested about 3 p.m. for failing to disperse throughout a protest on the base’s north gate on Thursday, in accordance with a launch from police. “The People’s Arms Embargo will continue to organize nonviolent actions at Travis until our tax dollars are spent on human needs and the weapons supply chain from Travis to Israel is broken,” in accordance with an announcement from the group.

Gerry Condon of Veterans for Peace, which is a part of the coalition, stated, “If our government won’t stop arming Israel, then we, the people, will stop it ourselves.”

Police officers had contacted protesters earlier than the protest on the important gate to make sure that entry to the bottom, which incorporates David Grant Medical Middle, would not be blocked.
