(KRON) – The Colma Police Division stated two law enforcement officials suffered minor accidents when detaining a suspected thief.

At 6:56 p.m. on Saturday, Colma law enforcement officials have been dispatched to a retailer on Colma Boulevard for the report of a theft in progress.

Colma PD was knowledgeable {that a} man had stolen merchandise. Police have been additionally informed that the loss prevention officer tried to detain the suspected thief, however the suspect fled by means of the shop’s car parking zone.

Upon arrival, officers positioned a person who matched the suspect’s description. Officers tried to detain the suspect, who was later recognized as San Francisco resident Daniel Brownstein.
