SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KRON) — Twelve jurors reached a verdict Wednesday deciding the destiny of a person who murdered 8-year-old Madyson “Maddy” Middleton in Santa Cruz.
Maddy’s members of the family, together with her mom, gasped and yelled “yes!” when the jury’s verdict was learn. Jurors determined that the convicted killer, 25-year-old Adrian Gonzalez, continues to be too harmful to be launched from custody.
Gonzalez has served almost a decade in juvenile custody, and beneath California’s juvenile justice legal guidelines, he was eligible to be freed. The jury’s verdict now blocks his launch from custody. Gonzalez by no means mentioned a phrase as the decision was revealed within the courtroom.
