Victim Stripped of Cash After Trip to Antioch Bank

(KRON) — A Brentwood resident who had simply withdrawn cash from an Antioch financial institution was robbed and assaulted exterior their house final week, the Brentwood Police Division stated Tuesday.

Police responded round 3:30 p.m. on Thursday on a report of an armed theft. Officers realized that the sufferer withdrew a “significant” sum of money from the Wells Fargo Financial institution at 5859 Lone Tree Manner in Antioch and went house. Upon arrival, the sufferer was confronted by three suspects.

Brentwood PD reported that one suspect threatened the sufferer with a gun whereas one other bodily assaulted the sufferer. The three, who police stated had been wearing darkish clothes and are believed to be adults, stole the money and fled the realm on foot.

The sufferer was not severely injured, based on authorities.

“We encourage everyone to stay vigilant when visiting banks or ATMs,” Brentwood PD stated on social media. “Be aware of your surroundings, and if you suspect you are being followed, call 9-1-1 immediately.”
