(KRON) — A small aircraft made an emergency touchdown Friday morning at an outdated, deserted runway on the decommissioned Alameda Naval Air Station, KRON4.com has confirmed. In response to the Alameda Fireplace Division, officers had been notified of an plane experiencing mechanical points and dropping altitude at 10:26 a.m.
The plane, which the FAA mentioned was a single-engine Cessna C152, had two individuals on board. An FAA spokesperson mentioned it landed safely on the decommissioned air station at round 10:35 a.m.
The pilot reported an engine problem, in response to officers. The Cessna was headed to Palo Alto Airport on the time of the incident.
