(KRON) – A person with greater than $40,000 price of warrants was arrested for stealing at a Colma retailer, based on the Colma Police Division. 

Colma law enforcement officials responded to the 5000 block of Junipero Serra Boulevard for the report of a theft at 8:16 p.m. on Thursday. 

Police had been knowledgeable {that a} man stole a number of backpacks and was making an attempt to go away the shop. The suspect, later recognized as 45-year-old Alex Anderson, was contacted by the responding officers and determined to drop the stolen merchandise and flee the scene.

The division was assisted by the Daly Metropolis Police Division, South San Francisco Police Division and the Broadmoor Police Division to find Anderson. He was discovered hiding within the tree line between a enterprise and a cemetery and was subsequently detained. 

Anderson was discovered to have a no-bail felony warrant, two $20,000 misdemeanor warrants, and a $5,000 misdemeanor warrant for his arrest from a number of out-of-county companies, police stated. Authorities stated in addition they discovered drug paraphernalia whereas looking Anderson.  

Colma PD stated Anderson shoplifted roughly $382.77 price of merchandise.
