(KRON) — An Antioch mom of 4 was arrested on Thursday after law enforcement officials discovered her younger kids alone at house with none adults current, police stated. The mom, Shante Alberty, was arrested on suspicion of kid abuse, in response to the Antioch Police Division.
The household lives on Spruce Means. Round 5 p.m. Thursday, a passerby noticed a 2-year-old youngster who was alone outdoors the house they usually referred to as authorities.
When law enforcement officials arrived on the residence the entrance door was unlocked. “Officers knocked and announced themselves, however nobody responded,” the Antioch Police Division wrote.
To make sure that the 2-year-old youngster was secure, officers entered the unlocked house. Inside, they discovered three extra younger kids, and no adults. Two of Alberty’s kids have been 2-years-old, one other was 5, and the fourth was 8-years-old.
“The children appeared to require medical attention, and CONFIRE, along with paramedics, was requested to the scene. All four children were transported to nearby hospitals for further evaluation,” APD wrote.

When Alberty later returned house, she was positioned underneath arrest and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility. A Contra Costa County Hazmat group was deployed to the household’s residence and declared it to be “uninhabitable.”
All 4 kids have been positioned within the custody of the county’s Little one and Household Providers division.
