SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A person accused of three financial institution robberies in Rohnert Park and San Francisco is in federal custody after being arrested for allegedly carjacking the driving force of a ride-hailing service, authorities introduced Wednesday.

James Michael Garrison was recognized by the Rohnert Park Division of Public Security as the person who allegedly robbed a financial institution within the 300 block of Rohnert Park Expressway on Dec. 5, 2024. Authorities stated Garrison instructed a financial institution teller he had a firearm and would shoot if the teller didn’t hand over money. No firearm was seen through the incident.

A responding officer who searched the world after Garrison ran from the financial institution discovered clothes ditched in a dumpster, police stated. The clothes matched what the suspect was seen carrying in surveillance video.

In late December 2024, the San Francisco Police Division additionally responded to a financial institution theft. Detectives in San Francisco notified Rohnert Park DPS that the theft appeared to contain the identical suspect based mostly on a photograph comparability from surveillance.
