Courses canceled at Rohnert Park elementary college after vandals trash a number of rooms

(KRON) — Courses at an elementary college in Rohnert Park had been canceled on Monday after a number of rooms on the college had been trashed by vandals. In response to the Rohnert Park Division of Public Security, a number of rooms at John Reed Elementary Faculty suffered “excessive vandalism.”

The break-in and vandalism occurred in a single day Sunday, in line with an e mail that went out to oldsters from the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified Faculty District.

“Due to the severity of the damage and the ongoing police investigation, school has been canceled for all John Reed students today,” the e-mail reads partly.

“The district understands this unexpected closure may cause disruptions, and we greatly appreciate the community’s patience as we assess the situation, conduct cleanup, and determine the next step,” the e-mail continued.

Crews are at the moment on the college assessing the injury, a district consultant instructed KRON4.com. The district stated the purpose is to have the injury repaired in time to reopen the college on Tuesday.

Rohnert Park DPS stated it was alerted to the incident by an alarm notification. The investigation, police stated, is ongoing.
