Local Man Found Guilty of Girlfriend Abuse and Coercing Threesome

(KRON) — A Daly Metropolis man was convicted of crimes that included strangling his girlfriend in entrance of their younger youngsters, beating the sufferer, and sexually assaulting her, San Mateo County prosecutors mentioned.

James Phillip Nalus, 42, will stay in jail with no bail till he’s sentenced to jail on March 19 by Decide Jeffrey Jackson. A jury delivered its responsible verdict on Tuesday.

Prosecutors mentioned Nalus was bodily abusive towards his girlfriend throughout their 4-year-long relationship, they usually had three youngsters collectively.

He was arrested in January of 2023 by the South San Francisco Police Division after the sufferer reported a number of disturbing incidents.

She instructed police that her boyfriend met a person on-line and he needed her to take part in a “threesome,” in line with prosecutors. The sufferer mentioned no, however Nalus threatened to beat her if she continued refusing. Prosecutors wrote, “the defendant forced her to have sex with him and the other male.”

The sufferer instructed police about one other incident when, “over the course of a few days, the defendant repeatedly beat and strangled the victim in front of their young children. He told her he got turned on by beating her. The defendant called out of work a day after beating her to ensure (she) didn’t call the police or leave the hotel room,” the district legal professional’s workplace wrote.

A 13-day trial for Nalus ended when jurors convicted him on 23 counts, together with forcible rape, home violence, felony baby cruelty, and sexual battery.
