Pregnant Gilroy lady killed in crash recognized

(KRON) — A pregnant Gilroy lady who was killed by a suspected DUI driver on New Yr’s Day was recognized by county officers Thursday. Rachel Gonzalez-Gallegos and her unborn child died from accidents suffered in a head-on collision.

Gallegos was 29 years outdated and she or he was planning to call her child Enzo, in keeping with the sufferer’s obituary. Her husband and younger son survived the crash, members of the family mentioned.

“Rachel loved going to the beach, taking family trips to Disneyland and spending quality time with her guys at home. Rachel was full of ambition and so much potential (in) her career at Costco as a supervisor. May you rest in peace up in heaven with our little Enzo,” her obituary writes.

On January 1, Gallegos was a passenger inside a Chevrolet SUV that was hit head-on by a GMC pickup truck that crossed over double yellow traces on Leavesley Street close to New Avenue, California Freeway Patrol officers mentioned. The pickup truck driver, 50-year-old Jesus Carlos Temores, was drunk and rushing main as much as the lethal wreck east of Gilroy, in keeping with prosecutors and CHP investigators.
