San Francisco DUI driver hit and dragged pole-mounted road signal for 1-mile: police

(KRON) — The Pacifica Police Division stated a San Francisco lady suspected of driving beneath the affect was arrested Saturday after officers responded to a automotive stopped on the street with a pole-mounted road signal lodged beneath.

When officers arrived within the space of Alisal Courtroom and Timberhill Drive, police stated they situated the suspected automobile parked and occupied.

Investigators stated the motive force, recognized as Emily Nishimura, 25, of San Francisco, was inebriated when she drove over a raised middle median within the space of Hickey Boulevard and SR-35. That’s when police stated Nishimura knocked over the signal which turned caught beneath her automobile then dragged for one mile. Whereas the signal was being dragged, police stated it collided with and broken a parked automotive.

Police confirmed Nishimura was arrested and faces costs together with, California Automobile Code (CVC) – DUI alcohol, driving with BAC .08 % or increased, and CVC – hit and run.

The Pacifica Police Division is asking anybody with data on the collision to name (650) 738-7314 or the Silent Witness Tip Line at (650) 359-4444.
