San Mateo man arrested, accused of stabbing throughout argument

(BCN) — A San Mateo man was arrested on suspicion of stabbing somebody throughout an argument, police stated Thursday.

On Wednesday simply after 11 a.m., a patrol officer within the space of Poplar Avenue and South Amphlett Boulevard in San Mateo was investigating parking complaints when he heard a loud argument between two males on the sidewalk.

In accordance with police, the argument escalated and Cristian Gomez, 26, allegedly stabbed the opposite man. The sufferer was taken to a hospital and is predicted to outlive. The officer requested extra officers to answer the scene and gave instructions to Gomez to drop the knife. Gomez was ultimately arrested.

Investigators used safety digital camera footage and interviews with witnesses to construct their case, San Mateo police stated.

Gomez was booked into jail on suspicion of assault with a lethal weapon and was nonetheless in custody Thursday.
