(KRON) — An inventory of 15 individuals who utilized to grow to be Alameda County’s subsequent district lawyer was whittled right down to seven on Thursday by the county board of supervisors.
For the subsequent spherical, the seven advancing finalists shall be interviewed in public at Tuesday’s board of supervisors assembly.
Alameda County residents voted their final DA, Pamela Worth, out of workplace with a recall in November of 2024. Throughout her transient two-year tenure, Worth was criticized for her progressive insurance policies and plea offers.

Venus Johnson, chief deputy lawyer normal with the California Division of Justice, former director of Oakland’s Division of Public Security, former authorized and coverage advisor to Kamala Harris when she was state lawyer normal, former chief assistant district lawyer in Contra Costa County.
Annie Esposito, Contra Costa County assistant district lawyer, former senior assistant district lawyer in Alameda County.
Latricia Louis, deputy county council in Alameda County, former Alameda County assistant district lawyer.

Elgin Lowe, senior deputy district lawyer in Alameda County
Jimmie Wilson, deputy district lawyer in Alameda County
On January 28, the board will deliberate and choose one of many ultimate seven candidates. That individual will take over the Alameda County District Lawyer’s Workplace by February 4.
