South SF police arrest 2 in USPS mail car housebreaking

(KRON) — Two Southern California residents suspected of burglarizing a U.S. Postal Service car in South San Francisco car had been arrested, police introduced Wednesday.

The USPS car was delivering mail on Alta Mesa Drive when it was burglarized final week, the South San Francisco Police Division (SSFPD) stated. Investigators used Flock license plate reader cameras to discover a suspect car.

A day after the reported housebreaking, the suspect car was noticed at a close-by lodge, authorities stated. Two suspects had been arrested, recognized by SSFPD as 32-year-old Sassy Acevedo and 35-year-old Salvador Alvarado, each of Southern California.

Bins of stolen mail and narcotics linked to the case had been recovered in South San Francisco in addition to different Bay Space cities, police stated.

Acevedo and Alvarado had been booked into San Mateo County Jail for housebreaking, id theft and narcotics prices.
